EUROBIKE 2009 and DEMO DAY

"The global bicycle trade show at the right time and the right place"

The show from Friedrichshafen, Germany – EUROBIKE sets the tone worldwide: With over 85,000 sqm of exhibition space, the leading global trade show of the bicycle industry is the "who's who" of the international bicycle world and is further increasing its focus on the needs of retailers: "With our well-established trade show concept at the right time of year for placing orders, we offer an event for the industry, retailers and the media that reflects the global spectrum of the sector. Bicycles and accessories for sports and mobility are both equally represented with a uniquely comprehensive range of products and models," says Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann. The big bicycle show will be held from Wednesday through Saturday, 2-5 September 2009. Now that the exhibition grounds have been expanded, this year visitors can also use the east entrance with its new foyer, conference center and additional space at the east open-air grounds.

Extended opening hours: This year the exhibition will open its doors to trade visitors half an hour earlier at 8:30 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m., effectively increasing the amount of time for the trade show. In addition, the show is open on new days of the week: EUROBIKE 2009 will already start on Wednesday, 2 September for trade visitors and will end on Open House Day, Saturday, 5 September, with opening hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday the trade show will offer an additional "bonus" for trade visitors and journalists: On 1 September 2009, Demo Day in Argenbühl will set the stage for EUROBIKE. "We want to meet the needs of our exhibitors and are further increasing our focus on the topic of trade visitors. With the new opening days and Demo Day we can offer a total of four trade show days for industry experts," says Project Manager Stefan Reisinger. Together with our partner "extra energy", special emphasis will be placed on the hot media topic of e-bikes. All leading e-bike manufacturers will be represented at the show, which will have its own test riding course.

The international bicycle trade show is as big as ever in 2009, with 812 exhibitors from 40 countries already lining up for the event, and 35,000 trade visitors along with 1,200 journalists expected from around the world.

More information about the show you can find on www.eurobike-show.com
When I'll have more information about 2009 Eurobike, be sure you will find out too.

Until the next post, wish you the best.

Early spring? ..NOT !

2 weeks ago we had here in Cluj a warm and sunny week end. Nice temperatures (~12 Celsius). The snow melted down and the tracks were almost dry. So was perfect to get off road and do some training. It's good to be back on the trails and is fun.

Was a good chance to test my new Ashima AiRotors and the Ashima disc brake pads.

The rotors in 160mm are 85grams (one of the few products that the claimed weight is the true one). For such a lightweight pro
duct, it's performing better than the standard rotors and the pads are lighter also the the original ones. I can say that I have now more braking power, less grams and a bigger smile :D

So you can also try them. You won't regret. Ashima is producing the rotors in 140mm, 160mm, 180mm and 203mm and a full range of pads and brake adaptors.

So I can say that I had a great week end with nice tours.

Even if did not believe the weather guys... the snow came and in a few hours everything was covered with a white cold carpet. I can say that we didn't had an early spring attempt but a late winter snow session (ok, it's not that late since it's just February). According the forecast, the cold days and the snow will continue to make me a hard winter but I don't care almost at all.

That's why I have a trainer and a lot of dvd`s with movies. The hours are passing faster and I get trained every day. I still have to learn a bit since I am in the last year at the University and I have more imporant exams.

Now I wanna wish you all happy winter and hope that you all are doing well.
