Evil Eye saw the SuperNova

This week I got the pack from Adidas Eyewear, one of my new sponsors, so I was really excited and want it really much to test them a.s.a.p.

This year I will run with the Evil Eye and SuperNova. Two models really appreciated by the riders.

The Adidas Eyewear comes with a a lot of technologies to optimize your sport performance divided in 4 categories:

VISION CONCEPT

1. Vision Advantage (TM) PC Lens - distortion-free vision

2. Quick-Change Lens System (TM) - simple and fast lens changing
3. Ventilation System - prevents lens fogging

4. Performance Insert (TM) - the solution for correction

ROTECTION CONCEPT
1. Wrap-Around View - optimum view

2. UV+Bluelight Filter - 100% UV + Bluelight protection

3. Wrap-Around Protection - scratch and impact force resistant, optimum protection

4. Grip Systems - for optimum non-slip pressure free fit

FIT CONCEPT

1. 2 Sizes - available in 2 different sizes

2. Double-Snap Nose Bridge (TM) - double nose height adjustment

3. TRI.FIT (TM) - 3 level height adjustement

DURABILITY CONCEPT

1. SPX (TM) Material - extra light, flexible and durable

2. Quick-Release Hinge (TM) - temples release exertion of impact force

First ride with my new eyewear was with Simona, a light ride in the woods near my home. We took the camera with us to take some shots also. After a few kilometers my impression was like in the first seconds: WOW.

They fit me really good and the distortion-free makes them not to feel differences or to get your eyes tired.

Of course that I need a few more days to see how they are, to test them in different moments of the day, different atmospheric conditions, but I think that they will perform just great.

I am also happy that Simona got out with me and enjoyed the ride, especially the descends

We had a great day and a great ride and I hope that this will repeat from now on.

I will keep you updated with reviews on the products that I have, photos and I hope short movies.

By the way, you can see the whole gallery of photo right HERE

Take care of you and wish you great rides and all the best

Regards,
Vlad

P.S. If you would like and Adidas Eyewear catalog please cont@ct me.

Ashima AiRotor direction

A few of you asked me about the rotation of the Ashima AiRotor. It was something like: haven't they done a mistake?

The answer is NO and here it is explained:

It’s all about how “struts” perform under compression/tension loading. In short they perform significantly better under tension as in compression they’re subject to bending. So ideally for light weight rotors you need to ensure the arms are in tension under the braking load the only way to achieve this is to reverse the direction. Below you can see the graphical explication.

Also Ashima is preparing you a few surprises, so if you are a weightweennie stay tuned, no matter you like the disc brakes or v-brakes.

If you have other questions about the products that I use, don't hesitate to ask me.

Regards,
Vlad

Training camp in Germany

You already know that in Germany you can have a better training than in Romania, so together with Gabee and Iustin, have decided to go in Germany for a two weeks training camp. We got in Schweinfurt on the 18th of March after a 24h bus ride.We eat something and after that first thing that we have in mind: trail riding (we have time to sleep when we are older). We got the bikes out of the boxes and get the helmets and we where gone. My Cannondale Taurine was running really good and my legs felt awesome.

So we had a 3 hours ride near the city. We visited most important spots and had a great time.

The next days we had some great training sessions with Konrad and Andy. Even if it rained a bit, even snowed half of day we had luck and managed to have great rides. Basic traing on the Main River is great. You can ride for hours or if you are ambition to get in Munich.

Also had the chance to taste some traditional food: Munchner Weisswurst with brezzels (may not be so healthy but it's really tasty)

We had a lot of kilometers there and I hope that this camp will help me to improve my training, because my mentality is already changes. Now I can already understand a few different facts related to training, recovering and eating.

Also this year I will ride Sram components and I'll make another changes, but I will not reveal them and hopefully you won't see them before or after the race. I think that all these things will help me to improve my results and all the training will have positive effects for the future. Also I really appreciate the support of my other sponsors and withouth their help I couldn't do this. So I would like to thanks to all the guys from: Cannondale, Maros Sport, Ashima, Continental, Selle Italia, Syntace, Sapim, VDO, Xpedo, 661, DT Swiss, Adidas Eyewear and I guess that if I'll be healty this year I will make them even proud than last year. Also I must say a big thank you to my parents, to Simona, to Gabee for offering me the chance for having this training camp and to everyone that supports me or hates me.

I also have the chance to present you a short movie filmed during the trainings. Hope you enjoy it. When I'll find the time I'll write you more about this amazing training camp, so stay tuned :-)

Also you can see the whole photo gallery RIGHT HERE

Keep on riding,

Vlad
